The collaboration called Nurse & Soldier feature Oneida’s Bobby Matador and his longtime love, Erica Fletcher (aka Rockie). Prior to the period of Oneida, the original noise rock and roll rumblings of Nurse & Soldier arrived collectively in the past due ’90s from the ashes from the couple’s earlier group, Karaoke Hustler. A six-song EP for Trifectaa Information quickly arrived and proceeded to go in springtime 1999; 2 yrs later on, Nurse & Soldier released the 16-track full-length Old History before disappearing into indie rock and roll obscurity. During this time period, Matador and Fletcher got wedded and had a family group, but Matador continuing recording and carrying out with Oneida while Fletcher completed graduate school. It might be many years (and a move from Brooklyn to Boston in 2004) before Nurse & Soldier would continue making their strange psych pop. Their long-awaited second recording, Marginalia, was released on Oneida’s personal Brah Information (via Jagjaguwar) in January 2007. It presented additional efforts from Jake Bailey (acoustic guitar/body organ/drums) and fellow Oneida drummer Child Millions.
