An ideal inclusion within the skewed electro lineup of Oakland’s Tigerbeat6 label, Figures thrash the dancefloor by tangling the limbs of fresh wave, no influx, punk, disco, garage area, and synth-pop.The SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA trio was formed in 2000 by vocalist and drummer Indra Dunis and two ex-Xerobot members: guitarist Dave Broekema and keyboardist Eric Landmark. The group’s debut, Figures Existence, released on Tigerbeat6 in June of 2002, presents a music group that’s straight descended from Gang of Four & most closely linked to labelmates Erase Errata as well as the U.K.’s Medical center. Later on in 2002, Figures put into their catalog having a track around the Toyo 20 Mere seconds compilation, a break up 7″ with Lowdown known as Nurses Help!, a break up 3″ Compact disc with Erase Errata, along with a track around the Beat Goes Away compilation, incorporated with the June problem of The Cable. In 2003, the group released quantities 1 and 2 from the Loss of life Remixes, along with the Ee-Uh! EP. Their second recording, In My Brain On a regular basis, found its way to 2004, as well as the group relocated to Kill Rock and roll Celebrities for the follow-up, 2005’s We’re Pets and 2007’s YOU NOW Are This
