Athens, GA’s Right now It’s Over head mixes moody pop affects like the Treatment and Depeche Setting as well as the layered textures of rings like Spiritualized and My Bloody Valentine into lovelorn indie rock and roll. Vocalist/multi-instrumentalist/maker Andy LeMaster, bassist/keyboardist/trumpeter/vocalist Orenda Fink, keyboardist/vocalist Maria Taylor, and drummer/vocalist Clay Leverett will also be active in additional Athens rings and tasks: LeMaster, along with previous Sugars bassist David Barbe as well as the Glands’ Andy Baker, has and operates the Run after Park Transduction Documenting Studio room, where he spent some time working with Japancakes, Azure Ray, Shiny Eye (of whom LeMaster can be a touring member), and Seaworthy, amongst others; Fink and Taylor also perform with Azure Ray. Right now It’s Over head released their self-titled debut on Saddle Creek in middle-2001. Their sophomore record, Fall Back Open up, which included visitor spots by Shiny Eye’ Conor Oberst and Michael Stipe, made an appearance in springtime 2004. 2 yrs afterwards, after officially inviting collaborator Brad Register (on electric guitar and tips) in to the music group, Today It’s Over head released Dark Light Daybreak, which demonstrated a slightly even more upbeat side with their usual make of shoegaze-inspired rock.
