Founded in the past due ’90s by veteran rock drummer converted singer Snowy Shaw (ex-King Diamond, Mercyful Fate, Memento Mori, etc.), “erotic-black-horror-gothic- steel” outfit Notre Dame possess made a significant name for themselves using their energetic make of rock — and a rather kitsch, extremely theatrical, also cartoonish image. Obviously acquiring after his previous boss King Gemstone for path, Shaw and his leather-clad, colorfully called comrades, Melissa ‘Vampirella’ Swan (vocals), Jean Pierre de Sade (guitars/bass), and Mannequin de Sade (drums), produced their horror steel debut using the 1998 E.P. JUST AROUND THE CORNER to a Theater Near You!. A complete record entitled Le Theater du Vampire premiered, fittingly more than enough, on Halloween, 1999, as well as the Problem Before Xmas E.P. was also shipped with time for the holiday season.
