Given that they first began taking part in together inside a Rochester, NY, basement, Nod continues to be cranking out complex funk rock and roll with an undercurrent of sound and chaos. Users Joe Sorriero (acoustic guitar, vocals), Tim Pollard (bass), Brian Shafer (drums), and Hugh Edwards (acoustic guitar) show off their groove craziness on some self-produced albums since 1990, including two full-length produces, Nod in 1992 and 1995’s I’m Around. In 1998, they released their 1st CD with HAS THE AROMA OF Information, Magnetic Anomaly, an recording that appears to synthesize the varieties of all their earlier produces: each track discovering different aural territories and textures. Their follow-up Compact disc released in 1999 by HAS THE AROMA OF Information, Radio Giddy-Up, proceeds across the same vibe, using a tighter and much more developed sound.
