A prolific and versatile author of popular gaming and anime ratings, especially for the ubiquitous Last Fantasy video game series, Nobuo Uematsu was created and raised in Kochi, Japan. A self-taught piano participant, he graduated from Kanagawa University or college and performed keyboards in regional bands, eventually getting are a composer for radio advertisements by sending out his music demos. He relocated into the gaming medium within the mid-’80s whenever a friend provided work at the business then referred to as Squaresoft (later on Square Enix). There, he made up music for a large number of games, like the initial Final Illusion installment, released in 1987. He continued to create or co-write music for the worldwide blockbuster series through 2002’s Last Fantasy XI.
