No UFO’s

Named following the classic 1985 Detroit techno monitor by Model 500 (Juan Atkins), Zero UFO’s may be the documenting moniker of Konrad Jandavs, a Canadian experimental artist who operates the Good Up International label. Dealing with magnetic tape, obscure synthesizers, drum devices, guitars, and field recordings, his recordings are wildly unstable sonic collages, moving between submerged dub, abstract techno, shimmering atmosphere, and space rock and roll. He has distributed the stage with Demdike Stare, Dopplereffekt, Loscil, and many more. He 1st surfaced this year 2010 with two cassettes: Soft Coastline (Great Up) and Brain Control (Dub Ditch Picnic). Gentle Coast was released on vinyl fabric by Range Spools in 2011, as well as the 12″ EP Brain Controls the Overflow premiered by Public Details through the same season. Two amounts of MPC Paths EPs were released by Great Up in 2012 and 2013. No UFO’s remixed paths by Altar Eagle and Jon Hassell (the last mentioned appearing on the 2014 12″ EP and a triple-CD reissue of 1990’s Town: Functions of Fiction record). In 2017, Main Strata released Nu LP for RS, which Jandavs regarded his first genuine full-length, as Soft Coastline was released being a demo cassette.
