No Speed Limit

Originally a trio, the Virginia bluegrass band Simply no Speed Limit started when banjo player Steve Barr began jamming with bassist Jacob Eller and singer Amber Collins, who was simply only 16 at that time. They begun to gain regional attention and shortly they added guitarist Josh Pickett (who was simply called the Merlefest Country wide Guitar Champ in 2001) and mandolin participant Ryan Blevins to finish the group. In 2005, by using the Virginia Base for the Humanities, No Acceleration Limit released their debut record, Bluegrass Lullaby, that was followed another year by Lovely Virginia, on Arhoolie, documented live on the Blue Ridge Music Middle near Galax, VA.
