Latin ska-punkers Niñoperating-system con Bombas were led by singer/guitarist Daniel Puente, a local of Santiago, Chile who previously led the punk clothing the Pinochet Young boys. Throughout a two-year trip all over the world, Puente got in Berlin, where he befriended bassist and Brazilian expatriate Alex Menck; both soon began composing songs together, developing Niñoperating-system con Bombas with German drummer Norman Jankowsky. Debuting in 1997 with De Tiempo en un Momento de la Explosion, the trio came back a year later on with Un Niño.
