An excellent pianist and arranger-composer, Nils Lindberg has longer caused the who’s who of Swedish jazz. He examined music at Uppsala School as well as the Royal Swedish Academy of Music, graduating in 1960. He gigged with Benny Bailey (1957-58), Ove Lind, Putte Wickman among others while still students. Two of Lindberg’s finest Lps, Sax Charm and Trisection, had been reissued as an individual Dragon Compact disc in 1992 and show Lars Gullin, Jan Allan, Idrees Sulieman and Eje Thelin. He also composed agreements for Alice Babs and documented with Karin Krog (1976). Nils Lindberg is definitely expert at merging jointly Swedish folk music with jazz, provides written traditional music (including for the Swedish Radio Symphony as well as the Hanover Symphony), made an appearance with Duke Ellington’s Orchestra in Oct. 73, followed Judy Garland throughout a Scandinavian tour and been the first choice from the big music group on the Municipal Music College of Stockholm.
