Nils Landgren

Swedish funk and jazz trombone participant Nils Landgren spent his formative years in the music college in Karlstad with the university in Arvika learning traditional trombone. He found out improvisation following a ending up in jazz legends Bengt-Arne Wallin and Eje Thelin and relocated to Stockholm, and he toured with Swedish pop phenomena Björn Skifs (“Addicted to a sense”). Since that time, Landgren has made an appearance on some 500 albums, including selections from performers as varied as Herbie Hancock, ABBA, the Crusaders, and Wyclef Jean. He released his debut single album (World Rock and roll ) in 1983, accompanied by a string of effective game titles including Streetfighter, YOU MIGHT BE My Nr 1, Kilometers from Duke, Section 2, and Adhere to Your Heart. In 1992 he created the Nils Landgren Funk Device, which includes released several recordings including Reside in Stockholm, Fonk da Globe, 5,000 Kilometers, and Funky ABBA.
