Nik & Jay

Hip-hop duo Nik & Jay from Værløse are Denmark’s major rap music proponents. Though latecomers towards the Western european hip-hop desk, Denmark’s rap picture boasted huge viewers by the entire year 2002, when Nik & Jay arrived using their self-titled debut record. The sharply outfitted bad boys recommended old-school themes loaded with superficial party content material. Nik & Jay centered on cash, women, and the nice life, instead of gangster identification or political communications. The album’s strike single “Warm” received the duo the name of Greatest Newcomer in the Danish Music Honours in 2003. A live in-concert Dvd and blu-ray was released soon thereafter, entitled Det vi Gor. The group’s high product sales and national acknowledgement whipped up curiosity and buzz for his or her sophomore effort, that was released in 2004. The recording spent a whole 12 months in the Danish Best 40 graphs, an unprecedented achievement, taking into consideration the nation’s only-burgeoning desire for the hip-hop genre. Nik & Jay’s constant trickle of radio singles, including “Pige” (2003), “Pop-Pop” (2004), “Remove” (2005), and “Boing” (2006) held their profile high and concerts well went to. In 2007 Nik & Jay released their third initial task, entitled Fresh-Fri-Fly. Though supported by Capitol and EMI Denmark, the recording was released around the duo’s individual Nexus Music.
