Nightrage

Pan-European death metallic supregroup Nightrage was shaped in 2000 by famous Swedish vocalist Tomas Lindberg (In the Gates, The Crown, Disfear, etc.), Greek acoustic guitar hero Gus G. (Desire Bad, Exumation, Mystic Prophecy, etc.) and tempo guitarist Marios Iliopoulos (Dies Irae, Exhumation), French bassist Brice Leclercq (Dissection) and Danish drummer Per M. Jensen (Artillery, The Haunted, etc.). Yes, from the veritable who’s who of interesting band connections, and something which inevitably resulted in some line-up modifications following a band’s debut recording for Century Press, 2003’s Nice Vengeance. Enter a fresh rhythm section composed of Swedish bassist Henric Carlsson (also Cypher Program) and Greek drummer Fotis “Benardo” Giannakopoulos (Cradle of Filth, Septic Flesh, etc.) ahead of Nightrage’s recording of the sophomore work Descent into Chaos.
