Night Beds

The brainchild of Rocky Mountain-reared, Nashville-based singer/songwriter Winston Yellen, Evening Bedrooms undertook roughly the same lonesome and lamp-lit, earthy and expansive music campsite as contemporaries like Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes, and Frontier Ruckus, fusing 21st century indie folk onto a foundation of pure, Gram Parsons-inspired Americana and country. The music group released some EPs (Evening Beds, Every Fireplace; Every Pleasure, and Cover from It) before placing out an effective, full-length studio room debut in 2013, the Deceased Oceans-issued Country Rest. With help from his sibling Abe Yellen and a few dozen guest music artists, Night Bedrooms’ second LP had taken a sharp convert; trading indie folk for an electro-fied, alt-R&B break up opus, 2015’s Ivywild continued to be noticeable by Yellen’s vocalist/songwriter-centered dreamy wistfulness.
