Nico Vega

An edgy but business indie rock clothing with pop intuition along with a theatrical streak, Nico Vega were shaped in 2005 by Aja Volkman, a singer and songwriter from Eugene, Oregon who had visit Valencia, California to review performing on the California Institute from the Arts. Following a couple of months, Volkman made a decision she was interested in music than performing (she’d been composing music since she is at senior high school), therefore she dropped away from CalArts to spotlight her career being a vocalist. After playing a single gig in LA, Volkman was contacted by Michael Pena, a drummer who dabbled in performing. Pena was impressed with Volkman’s design and skill, and teaming with guitarist Full Koehler, they produced the first model of Nico Vega. In 2006, the trio released their initial EP, Chooseyourwordspoorly, but in just a season, Pena still left the group as his performing career begun to fly (his subsequent display screen credits included The Lincoln Attorney, End of View, American Hustle, and Cesar Chavez). In 2007, Dan Epand became the brand new drummer for Nico Vega, as well as the group released two even more EPs that season, Cocaine Cooked the mind and No Kid LEFT OUT. The last mentioned EP became Nico Vega’s initial discharge on MySpace Information, a fledgling label began by individuals behind the (after that) popular social media site. In ’09 2009, MySpace released the trio’s self-titled debut record, which was mainly made by Tim Edgar, with observed songwriter Linda Perry overtaking the handles for three music. While Nico Vega toured thoroughly in support, writing stages with famous brands the Manic Road Preachers, Metric, and Neon Trees and shrubs, the album’s product sales were modest, as well as the group remained from the studio room until 2011, if they self-released the EP Nico Vega Addresses Nico Vega and Fishing rod Stewart. However, with time various other media found the recovery: when Nico Vega’s tune “Beast” was found in the promotion marketing campaign for the gaming Bioshock Infinite in 2013, the monitor racked up five million takes on on-line, while their cover of Sonny Bono’s “Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)” was found in the 2013 tv mini-series Bonnie & Clyde. This year 2010, Volkman fulfilled Dan Reynolds, who was simply the leader of the struggling music group from NEVADA known as Imagine Dragons; in a short time, both would marry, and Picture Dragons opened several displays for Nico Vega. Once Picture Dragons’ debut recording Night Visions started climbing the graphs, their places within the expenses had been reversed, but Reynolds would step of progress to co-write and create a catchy tune for Nico Vega, “I REALLY BELIEVE (OVERCOME Yourself),” which seems within the band’s long-awaited second recording, 2014’s Result in Light, released by Five Seven Music.
