Nicky Moore

b. c.1942, Britain. Moore underwent tone of voice training, learning traditional methods, going to Exeter Cathedral Choristers music college. Comfortable with difficult rock tunes and relaxed with melodic ballads, he also takes on lead acoustic guitar in his personal rings. Additionally, Moore is an efficient composer and his tunes were utilized by Tiger, a jazz rock-band co-led with Big Jim Sullivan, with which Moore documented. Among other rings which Moore was an associate, touring and occasionally documenting, are Samson, Joint Causes, Electric Sunlight, and Mammoth. With many of these rings, Moore wrote thoroughly. Moore in addition has led his personal rings, included in this, from 1969-74, Hackensack, including guitarist Ray Majors, bass participant Stu Mills and drummer Simon Fox. From 1992-2001, Moore led his Blues Company. His sidemen within this group included guitarists Nigel Bagge, Tommy Allen, Richard Studholme, Daniel J. Kyle and Moore’s kid, Tim, blues harpists Colin Goody and Julian Webster-Greaves, bass players Pete Shaw and Offer Tunbridge, and drummers Stewart Childs and Ed Collins. Moore in addition has documented with ex-Nazareth guitarist Manny Charlton. This large rock band, referred to as From Behind, was curved out by four Swedish rockers, Mikael Fässberg, Fredrik Borg, Carl-Michael Hildesjö and Andreas Grufstedt.
