Nickel Eye

Nickel Eye may be the part task of Strokes bassist Nikolai Fraiture, who had the theory to create an record of his own through the Strokes’ hiatus after their third record Initial Impressions of Globe. Taking a few of his previous poems and lyrics as well as the music from the Kinks, Frank Dark, and early Leonard Cohen as motivation, Fraiture recorded music using the music group South in London, after that finished the record in NY by using close friends like Regina Spektor as well as the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Nic Zinner. Period of the Assassins premiered in wintertime 2009.
