Niamh Kavanagh

Ireland’s second successive Eurovision Track Contest champion in 1993, vocalist Niamh Kavanagh was created in 1968, and had already carved herself a profession in the Irish film industry (she actually is heavily featured in the soundtrack towards the Commitments) before getting invited to represent Ireland at Eurovision. Her earning song, “INSIDE YOUR Eye,” became the year’s best-selling one in her homeland, and was a significant hit elsewhere about Europe. After that, Kavanagh provides performed and documented all over the world — her debut record, Traveling Blind, was documented in Nashville with John Jennings, while her cooperation with Gerry Carney, Jointly Alone, included an excellent revision of “INSIDE YOUR Eyes.”
