THE BRAND NEW Tweedy Brothers were among the many later-’60s SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA bands that recorded but hardly ever broke to a broad audience. Actually, their sole record is extremely uncommon, and most most likely barely noticed by anyone beyond SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA (rather than that widely noticed within city). It includes a couple of exceptional cuts that catch the trippy Haight-Ashbury heart well, but overall is a fairly ordinary representation of its period and place.
