New Strangers

This folk/blues duo made up of Danny Kalb (guitar, vocals) and Samuel Charters (guitar, vocals). Both had been former associates of the real Endeavor Jug Music group and Dave Truck Ronk’s Ragtime Jug Stompers. THE BRAND NEW Strangers had been mixed up in folk night clubs of the united states east coastline between 1964 and 1965 sketching motivation from pre-war music artists Tampa Crimson and Georgia Tom. MEET UP WITH THE New Strangers, documented using session bass participant Leonard Gaskin, premiered on Prestige/Folklore Information, that Charters served being a producer. It offers a rendition of the original tune ‘Alberta’, a display for Kalb’s extraordinary guitar choosing. He later produced the much-respected Blues Task before seeking a solo profession. Charters subsequently transferred to California where he created Country Joe AS WELL AS THE Fish and composed many books on blues music.
