New Stories

New Tales, a Seattle-based jazz trio focusing on post-bop, was shaped in 1988. The users are pianist Marc Seales, bassist Doug Miller, and drummer John Bishop. New Tales is quite most likely the premiere jazz trio within the Pacific Northwest (earning Earshot Jazz honours for Greatest Acoustic Group 3 x), as well as the group divides their period roughly similarly between trio shows and solo tasks. Doug Miller comes from the Count number Basie and Mercer Ellington big rings and is among the “1st contact” bassists in Seattle.
