New Fast Automatic Daffodils

While grunge reigned in the first ’90s, New Fast Automatic Daffodils produced its mark in the indie rock and roll picture in Manchester, England. Bassist Justin Crawford, guitarist Dolan Hewison, and drummer Perry Saunders met up in 1988, and vocalist Andy Spearpoint became a member of immediately after. Spearpoint’s obscure lyrics spoken over recurring riffs and is better than provided NFAD’s music a dream-like quality. Even though many bands of this era had been preoccupied with showing their angst within the globe stage, NFAD was worried about creating groovy, spacy music you can dance to. Plus they made a lot of it: three full-lengths, five EPs, and ten singles all in approximately four years.
