The New Delivery Brass Music group are section of an extended line in the brand new Orleans brass band tradition, but their relative youth means their music yields an eclectic group of musical genres. New Birth’s users are virtuosos who blend components of blues, ragtime, gospel, funk, spirit, rock and roll, and traditional Crescent Town jazz to their sound. The group’s albums consist of D-Boy, released from the NYNO (New York/New Orleans) label in 1997; New Delivery Family, released by Valley Entertainment in 2005; and New Orleans Second Collection!, a 2006 disk around the Mardi Gras Information label. The wonder of the hard-working crew can be that they are mainstream more than enough to attract enthusiasts of traditional brass rings, the eclectic selection of designs incorporated to their live shows discovers favor with young fans aswell. The group was an offshoot from the Youthful Olympia Brass Music group, a group shaped partly by Milton Batiste within the 1980s. On D-Boy, business lead trumpeter and vocalist Adam Andrews is joined up with by trumpeter Derrick Shezbie (who also carved out a distinct segment for himself being a bandleader in his very own best in New Orleans), tuba participant Kerwin Adam (brother from the Rebirth Brass Band’s Philip and Keith Frazier), snare drummer Kerry Hunter, bass drummer Cayetano “Tanio” Hingle, trombonists Reginald Steward and Corey Henry, and percussionist Mister Actions. James Andrews’ history included tenures within the Root base of Jazz Brass Music group, shaped by Danny Barker in the first ’80s. Following a year within Barker’s music group, Andrews remaining to business lead his personal group, the All Celebrity Brass Band, including many of his brothers. Andrews also toured with everyone from Michelle Surprised to Wynton Marsalis, Danny Barker, Quincy Jones, and Dizzy Gillespie like a sideman.
