Neurotica

Following dissolution of his former group, the groundbreaking progressive death steel combo Atheist (named among the leading lighting within the once-thriving Floridian death steel scene), singer Kelly Schaefer began Neurotica with guitarist Shawn Bowen in his native Sarasota, circa 1995. Gradually building their repertoire while touring the neighborhood club picture, the music group (eventually curved out by guitarist Louis Polito, bassist Clay Yeagley, and drummer G.J. Gosman) was ultimately discovered by AC/DC vocalist Brian Johnson (himself an area resident), who was simply impressed enough to greatly help them secure administration and make their unbiased debut, 1998’s Seed. Filled with a lackluster group of middle of the street rock, the album didn’t make an impression and it wasn’t before entrance of its hard-grooving follow-up, 1999’s spectacular Living in Pup Years, that Neurotica really found its audio and path. Also made by Johnson and offering brand-new bassist Migwell Przybyl, the album’s varied songwriting was light years taken off its modest forerunner and eventually gained the music group a major-label cope with the W.W.E.’s Smackdown Information. Further lineup adjustments ensued, like the arrivals of brand-new guitarist Chris Rollo and drummer Jason Western world and, oddly enough, the music group was then provided a nu steel makeover ahead of liberating 2002’s Neurotica. Ironically, the majority of the album just offered updated variations from the sophomore disc’s greatest cuts, with several fresh tracks thrown set for great measure. The music group after that embarked on that year’s ill-fated Ozzfest tour, that was marred by from last-minute cancellations (because of Sharon Osbourne’s ongoing malignancy treatment) towards the tragic loss of life of Drowning Pool vocalist Dave Williams.
