A supergroup formed in LA the mid-’90s comprising B-list men from A-list rings, Neurotic Outsiders found an urgent following whenever a one-time charity concert in the Viper Space resulted in a house-band engagement. Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols, John Taylor of Duran Duran, Duff McKagan of Weapons N’ Roses, and Matt Sorum from the Cult and Weapons N’ Roses spent the majority of those early gigs playing punk addresses. As excitement for the music group increased, these were authorized to Maverick Information, releasing one recording, the self-titled Neurotic Outsiders, in 1996. Jones published a lot of the tunes, while Taylor published the remaining tunes as well as the additional users collaborated on some songs. Jones and McKagan distributed guitar duties, and everything members added vocals. A frenetic, somewhat dark mixture of punk and pre-grunge Weapons N’ Roses-style hard rock and roll, the music group garnered some radio play with the explicit solitary “Jerk.” Following the album’s launch, they embarked on a nationwide tour of golf club dates. Upon coming back using their tour, Neurotic Outsiders continuing to play like a once-a-week home band in the Viper Space for a short time, going for a hiatus in 1998. The hiatus is probable long term, as Matt Sorum rejoined the Cult in 1999 and John Taylor rejoined Duran Duran in 2001.
