Netherfriends

Fundamentally the rotating project of indie pop adventurer Shawn Rosenblatt and friends, Netherfriends plays an ethereal make of rock, layering Rosenblatt’s Seaside Boys-esque coos more than shimmering lo-fi keyboards, tribal drums, and other things lying throughout the studio. Netherfriends begun to make its name in Rosenblatt’s hometown of Chicago in 2007, as he collected a huge network of acquaintances jointly to make entrancing noises. While multi-instrumentalist Justin Fernando is normally a normal collaborator, when Netherfriends travels, it’s generally a single endeavor. After a set of self-released singles, the action signed to Crisis Umbrella Records, launching the EP Contacting You Out in ’09 2009. The next calendar year, Rosenblatt embarked upon the nomad’s lifestyle as he taken up stakes from his Chicago house and had taken to the street with the program to try out gigs in every 50 states.
