Neon Park

Most widely known for his longstanding affiliation with Small Feat, musician Neon Recreation area created a few of the most provocative and memorable record covers in rock and roll background, charming some customers and offending others along with his surreal imagery, outrageously stunning shades, and daffy wit. Blessed Martin Muller in California on Dec 28, 1940, he grew up in Berkeley, as a teenager reading Jack port Kerouac’s On the highway some 13 instances; eventually getting in Mendocino, he toiled in some dead-end careers while pursuing a profession in artwork during his off hours. Furthermore to painting the coat for Small Feat frontman Lowell George’s lone single LP, 1979’s Thanks a lot I’ll Eat It Right here, he also designed addresses for works including David Bowie (the 1973 collection Pictures) and Dr. John (1978’s Town Lights). Recreation area also developed countless advertisements for region r / c, and added to Robert Crumb’s notorious Zap comix. Following projects included some covers to get a Japanese media mag, animation to get a commercial promoting solar powered energy, and a assortment of paintings of erotic ducks motivated with the traditional pinup art from the 1940s.
