Biography

A singer and songwriter who earned his chops getting together with some questionable personas in his period, Nels Andrews released his 1st album, Sunday Shoes or boots, independently in 2005. The recording was critically well received, making plaudits from BBC Radio immediately after its launch. Eventually, Andrews could parlay his essential achievement into gigs at prominent celebrations in European countries, which he were able to play while keeping a regular work in building in his house of Albuquerque. Andrews ultimately signed a cope with Reveal Information, along with an indie all-star music group — one which included Ani DiFranco bassist Todd Sickafoose, Wilco keyboardist Michael Jorgensen, and drummer Ben Perowsky (who spent some time working with Joan mainly because Police Female, Elysian Areas, and John Zorn, to mention several) — in tow, Andrews documented and released his second recording, Off Track Gambling. It saw launch in Feb of 2008.
