Negative 9 came busting from the gates in 2002 with a difficult choice rock sound and an eponymous debut album. Vocalist/songwriter Jason Andrew have been composing songs for a long time, trying to go from his prior time being a percussionist. He met up with guitarist Jimmy Whip, drummer Jay Schnatter, and multi-instrumentalist Brian Szucs, and Detrimental Nine was created.
