Navajo

Hailing from the town of Puerto de Tuxpan de R. Cano in Veracruz, Mexico, the Latin pop sextet Navajo comprised vocalist Miriam Villalobos, accordionist Hector Murrieta, guitarist Miguel A. Galindo, musical movie director and bassist Francisco J. Galindo, drummer Ignacio Lozano and percussionist Hector. Produced in 1984 as accompanists for the 350-person vocal choir, the group broke to a nationwide audience 3 years later, if they had been among the very best finishers in the esteemed OTI Music Celebration; extensive touring implemented, and in 1998 Navajo produced their American debut using the album Celos.
