Nathan Berg

Nathan Berg is a Canadian baritone with an especially solid identification with classic and Baroque repertoire and period performance. He researched in his indigenous nation, the U.S.A., and Paris, but his most significant instructor was Vera Rozsa, on the Guildhall College of Music and Dilemma in London. While students on the Guildhall, he earned the Yellow metal Medal for Performers. He’s also a prizewinner in main international competitions, like the Royal Abroad League, as well as the Kathleen Ferrier, Walther Grüner and Peter Pears Lieder Contests. He offers sung in main productions of many Mozart operas: Figaro in The Relationship of Figaro in Good, holland Opera, and Tourcoing; Masetto in Don Giovanni at holland Opera and in the Peter Brook creation which toured beneath the batons of Claudio Abbado and Daniel Harding to Brussels, Tokyo, La Scala in Milan, and Lyon; Guglielmo in Così lover tutte in the Welsh Country wide Opera; and Leporello in Don Giovanni at Tourcoing, the British Country wide Opera, and in the same Peter Brook touring organization. Additional operas Berg sings are Rameau’s Les Indes Galantes (in the Opéra-Bastille in Paris) and Monteverdi’s L’Incoronazione di Poppea (Netherlands Opera). Time for Canada, he sang Schaunard in Puccini’s La Bohème in the Canadian Opera Organization. He includes a wide repertory like a concert vocalist. He offers sung in Bach’s Mass in B small with Boston Baroque, Handel’s Rinaldo using the Academy of Old Music, Jepthta using the RIAS Kammerchor, Messiah using the Orchestra of age Enlightenment, and Theodora with Les Arts Florissants. He in addition has sung Mozart’s Requiem using the Orchestra of age Enlightenment. In non-period-instrument shows, he appeared using the LA Philharmonic in Mozart’s C small Mass, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in Haydn’s THE TIMES OF YEAR, and Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis using the Baltimore Symphony as well as the Ninth Symphony in Washington. Furthermore, he sang orchestrated variations of Schubert Lieder using the SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA Symphony Orchestra under Michael Tilson Thomas, and offers sung in Schubert’s Mass in A set using the BBC Symphony Orchestra under Belohlavek at a Henry Woods BBC Proms Concert in London. Some conductors with whom he offers made an appearance in concert shows are: Christie, Herreweghe, Tortelier, Norrington, Rilling, Leppard, Dohnanyi, Masur, and Salonen. He offers sung in the Harrogate International Event, the Three Choirs Event, as well as the Edinburgh Event, where he sang an extremely praised Wolf recital. He in addition has recitalized at Wigmore Hall in London as well as the Musée d’Orsay in Paris, followed by Roger Vignoles.
