Nate Kazebier

A good golf swing trumpeter who hardly ever really became a significant soloist, Nate Kazebier is best-known for his early association with Benny Goodman. He started playing trumpet when he was nine and began working with regional territory bands within the Midwest including Austin Wylie in Cleveland, Jan Garber and Slats Randall. He was section of Goodman’s 1935-36 big music group and was on a little group time led by Gene Krupa. Kazebier still left by middle-1936, transferred to California and caused Ray Noble, Seger Ellis’ Brass Choir, Spud Murphy as well as other regional orchestras. He was with Gene Krupa’s initial big music group (1939-40) and spent an interval with Jimmy Dorsey (1940-43) prior to going in the armed forces. After his release, he had another stint with Goodman (1946-47) and became a studio room musician in California. Although he documented with Ray Bauduc and was energetic in to the 1960’s, Nate Kazebier (who didn’t business lead any information of his very own) was generally quite obscure.
