The feminine half of quirky, YouTube-loving indie pop duo Pomplamoose, singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Nataly Dawn (born Nataly Dawn Knutsen) was created in 1986 to missionary parents and spent the majority of her childhood in European countries. After spending her formative years in France and Belgium, she relocated to California to review Artwork and French books at Stanford, where she fulfilled fellow musician Jack port Conte and created Pomplamoose. She released her initial collection of single material, Her Previously Stuff, in ’09 2009. In 2011, she made an appearance on the tune “Notice from a Enthusiast,” from Barry Manilow’s conceptual a quarter-hour record. That same season she began a Kickstarter advertising campaign to raise money for a fresh album. She fulfilled her goal in only three times, and in 2012 inked a cope with Nonesuch Information who decided to discharge it. The ensuing THE WAY I Knew Her, a heady mixture of Regina Spektor and Rufus Wainwright-inspired chamber rock and roll, blues, folk, jazz, and pop noir, found its way to early 2013.
