Nastyboy Klick

Nastyboy Klick were a Latin rap group formed by Phoenix-based MC Magic (Marco Cardenas), who all had founded Nastyboy Information in 1991. After launching the solo record Don’t Get worried in 1995, he produced the Klick and released the debut record Tha First Section, which received major-label distribution from Mercury. The record yielded a Billboard Best 100 strike in “Down for Yours,” which highlighted talkbox vocals by Roger Troutman, an initial influence in the group’s simple, cool sound. The 1998 follow-up Tha Second Arriving featured another strike, “Lost in Love” (a remake of 1 of Magic’s old tunes), in addition to “I UNDERSTAND YOU NEED Me,” a duet with dance-pop vocalist Ce Ce Peniston. Magic, alongside associates Dos (Daniel Salas) and Zig Zag (Ricardo Martinez), continuing recording jointly, but transformed the group name to NB Ridaz for legal factors. After launching two albums, the group disbanded in 2006.
