Vocalist/guitarist/songwriter Nash Kato initial rose to prominence within the ’90s with Chicago substitute rockers Desire Overkill, and upon their divide late within the 10 years, launched a single career. Desire Overkill originally shaped in 1986 and on the effectiveness of such Contact & Go produces as Jesus Desire Superstar, Americruiser, The Supersonic Storybook, and Stull, the group’s penchant for churning out Cheap Trick-esque power pop (in addition to getting championed by such observed works as Nirvana) got the group agreed upon to DGC. After some preliminary achievement (the 1993 record Saturation, and a strike remake of Neil Diamond’s “Lady, You’ll Be a female Soon,” that was utilized to great impact within the 1994 film Pulp Fiction), the group split amidst gossips of bickering and substance abuse after only 1 more recording, 1995’s Leave the Dragon. Kato reappeared in Apr of 2000 along with his single debut, Debutante.
