Nasar Abadey

Nasar Abadey is a drummer that has performed with lots of the greats in the jazz world. Among his credits are Ella Fitzgerald, Sunlight Ra, Stanley Turrentine, and David Sanchez. In 1983, Abadey performed on Malachi Thompson’s Nature. He also performed in the 1991 discharge by Thompson Jaz Lifestyle. 1993 was a active season for him, showing up on Joe Ford’s “Today’s Evening” and two produces from Thompson (New Standards and 47th Road). He performed on Songbook by Gerry Eastman in 1996. In 1998, he made an appearance on two even more discs: Thompson’s Freebop Today! and Daystar. He made an appearance on another record by Thompson in 2000, Timeline. He also released a Compact disc with his very own group, Supernova, in 2000. That Compact disc was known as Mirage.
