Nai Harvest

The duo Nai Harvest shaped in Sheffield during 2011 when guitarist/vocalist Ben Thompson’s group fell aside and he recruited his friend Lew Currie to try out drums. Forsaking a bassist, they started playing and shortly cut a divide one with Papayér, after that followed it using their initial solo single, Sense Better, that they self-released in 2012. Their audio at this time was heavily inspired by U.S. emo rings like Nutrient and American Soccer, with a lot of electric guitar noodling and fragmented tune structures. A few more 2012 produces (a divide EP with Bonjour, Invalids, and Reno Dakota and a divide cassette with Five Leaf Nettles) implemented as Nai Harvest sophisticated their live display and performed in wider arcs. Leaving the emo-heavy design of their start toward a heavier, poppier audio, they documented their initial LP, Whatever, and noticed it released by Pet dog Knights Productions and Pinky Swear Information in 2013. Period spent touring intended time on the highway in a truck, and Thompson and Currie utilized it to focus on enhancing their songwriting abilities and focusing on producing their music even more accessible since it roped in shoegaze, fantasy pop, and ’90s indie rock and roll influences. The initial flowering of their brand-new strategy was 2014’s Keep Open My Mind EP, that was co-released by their brand-new U.S. label, Topshelf Information. Nai Harvest toured the U.S. that fall, after that returned house to focus on their following album with maker Bob Cooper. Hairball premiered in Apr of 2015 by Topshelf.
