Canadian duo Mythos synthesize dance is better than, different world musics, and modern sensibilities in a way comparable to an Enigma or Deep Forest. Bob D’Eith (keyboards) and Paul Schmidt (acoustic guitar) was raised in Vancouver, both getting classical training on the respective tools; D’Eith got previously performed in the short-lived alternative-rock music group Rhymes With Orange. Dissatisfied using the constraints of rock and roll & move, D’Eith became a member of up with Schmidt to record even more film-oriented music; the effect was their Juno-nominated, Canada-only 1997 debut, Introspection. Mythos after that agreed upon with Higher Octave and released their self-titled worldwide debut in 1998. Truth of the Dreamer followed 2 yrs later, concentrating mainly on Traditional western musical forms and offering vocalists Christine Duncan and Jennifer Scott.
