Alto saxophonist/composer Myron Walden was created on Oct 18, 1973 in Miami, FL, relocating to Harlem in age 12. Subsequent contact with Charlie Parker influenced the teen to get the alto, and he continued to review at LaGuardia SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL of Music and Artwork as well as the Harlem College from the Arts, additionally honing his art beneath the tutelage of Yusef Lateef, Donald Byrd, among others.
