Myron & E

Retro-soul vocal duo Myron & E are Myron Glasper and Eric Cooke. South Central LA native Glasper continues to be active because the early ’90s, when he danced in shows of In Living Color and worked well as a history vocalist during classes for MC Lyte and CeCe Peniston. Cooke, from Newark, NJ, arrived up as a DJ and maker. Both crossed pathways while touring with Blackalicious but didn’t type their duo until Cooke asked Glasper to greatly help him create and sing over instrumentals documented by Finnish retro-soul music group the Spirit Researchers. As Myron & E, they debuted in the Spirit Researchers’ Timmion label in 2008 using the “Cool Game” single. Rocks Toss subsidiary Now-Again certified the 7″ for discharge in the U.S. “It’s a Pity,” “On Broadway,” and “Pot Membership” — the final which was released on Timmion offshoot Nite Membership — arrived this year 2010. Myron & E, still supported by the Spirit Investigators, then documented an record, Broadway, released in July 2013 on Rocks Throw.
