Chris Deveney (vocals/guitar/bass), Gary Deveney (vocals/guitar), Paul McGeachy (guitar), Laura McFarlane (vocals/violin/piano), and Ryan Ruler (drums) create the dreamy indie rock and roll stylings of My Recent Novel. Hailing through the middle-class Glasgow suburb of Greenock, the quirky collective emerged together in springtime 2005 and quickly started playing displays. “Sister Trainer Sister Soul” got My Latest Book a recording agreement with Bella Union from the year’s end while support slot machines with the loves Smog, British Ocean Power, as well as the Dears adopted the next springtime and summer time. Wolves designated the band’s debut recording launch in fall 2006.
