My Disco

Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, post-punk trio My Disco had been created in 2003 by brothers Liam and Ben Andrews and Rohan Rebeiro. Called for any Big Black track, the band specific in angular, cerebral indie rock and roll. My Disco produced a name for themselves using their occupied touring schedules, but discovered themselves slowed up in 2004 when Liam Andrews was identified as having Hodgkin’s lymphoma. The music group continued to try out displays, squeezing in gigs and rehearsals among Andrews’ chemotherapy remedies. During this time period, the band begun to develop a even more minimal, biting audio similar to the metallic thump of Shellac. In 2006 they released their initial full-length, Cancer. The next season, My Disco journeyed towards the various other side from the world to begin with working on a fresh record with Steve Albini on the well-known Electrical Sound in Chicago. Heaven, released in 2008, discovered the band moving even further from mathematics rock and roll, delving deeper into even more minimal waters. The music group tripped on a global tour in ’09 2009 and launching the uptempo, dance-leaning one “Youthful” this year 2010. The group came back to Electrical Sound that season to, but after documenting with Albini, My Disco went within a different path with the creation, instead acquiring the record to Silverchair manufacturer Scott Horscroft. The record, Little Joy, premiered in early 2011 on Short lived Residence. “Covered Coastline,” another one that flirted with dance rhythms, premiered being a 12″ in 2012, and included remixes by Manufacturer Flooring and Justin Broadrick. For the group’s 4th full-length, they remained in Melbourne and caused manufacturer/film composer Cornel Wilczek, saving completely with digital tools. Titled Serious, the album premiered by Temporary Home in 2015.
