Brooklyn’s epic psychedelic rockers My Ideal Fiend shaped in 2004, when vocalists/multi-instrumentalists Fred Coldwell, Kris Lindblade, and Gary Tedder and drummer Joe Noll started playing and recording demos collectively. Forging an expansive audio that evoked Spiritualized and Explosions in the Sky aswell as even more down-to-earth performers like Tom Petty, the group released the Acidity Happy/Mary’s Fits solitary on Gigantic Music in 2007. After spending many years playing live, woodshedding, and adding Damian Genuardi towards the collapse, My Greatest Fiend self-released the Jesus Christ EP early in 2011 via their Bandcamp web page. The group documented its debut recording with maker Matt Boynton and caused collaborators including Shannon Funchess and Anni Rossi. Past due in 2011, Warp Information announced that they had signed My Greatest Fiend, and In Ghostlike Fading showed up early in 2012.
