My American Heart

The five-piece NORTH PARK emo/alternative group My American Heart burst onto the scene making use of their crunchy debut album, THIS IS in Makeup (Warcon Entertainment), in nov 2006. During its release, non-e of the group associates was above age 18, but that didn’t end them from performing three national trips and getting a coveted slot machine for the 2005 Warped Tour. Vocalist Larry Soliman, guitarist/vocalist Jeremy Mendez, guitarist/vocalist Jesse Barrera, bassist Dustin Hook, and drummer Steven Oira refined up their sonics by using maker Sal Villanueva (Acquiring Back Weekend) and engineer Matt Squire (Northstar, Thrice), solidifying the group’s thick and gritty make of earnest rock and roll. Taking cues using their emo heroes, My American Center strives to peel off aside the superficial facades of sociable acceptance and champ the cult of the true — a cathartic, honest, and muscular method of the genre.
