Orchestre Muyei, aka Muyei Power, were probably one of the most successful rings in Sierre Leone in the 1970s. Having a audio rooted in traditional Western African music, Muyei Power also integrated such varied designs as rock and roll, pop, and funk to their have compositions. Muyei Power split up around 1976 before liberating a full-length recording. In 2014, Soundway Information released the anthology, Sierra Leona in 1970s USA, which put together Muyei Power’s different recordings.
