Home / Biography / Muslims

A San Diego given birth to pop-punk combo that formed in 2006, the Muslims (vocalist Matt Lamkin, bassist Emily Neveu, Matty McLoughlin on acoustic guitar, and drummer Gabe Patuzzi) were initially formed when, upon returning house from university, Lamkin and longtime friend McLoughlin began composing songs together. Ultimately the music group took on the other associates — from such rings as Clock Function Military and Holy Guys — and started gigging around southern California. The music group released a debut platter, the Muslims, on 1928 Recordings immediately after. In 2007, the music group uprooted, and transferred to LA.
