Music for Mapmakers

With little in the form of publicity, this Ottawa-based trio-cum-quartet have steadily impressed both fans and industry people as well with a method best referred to as “shoegazing Brit-pop.” The music group shaped in 1999 and rehearsed within an Ottawa house. The trio of guitarists Derek Ma, Myles Bartlett, and Shayne Cox released an unbiased EP before executing around the Toronto region. Some showcases led to the music group being agreed upon in Sept 2001 to Grenadine Information, who released .02, the group’s debut record. The group is certainly scheduled to come back to the studio room to get a release in the summertime of 2002.
