Blessed in Scotland in 1948, Murray McLauchlan moved to Canada at age five. He started playing guitar many years afterwards and, after graduation within the middle-’60s, transferred to NY. The folksinger came back in 1968 and, because of reputation around Toronto, documented his first record, Songs from the road (1971). Fourteen even more albums for Accurate North Records implemented, including Murray McLauchlan (1972), Daily Dirt (1973), Sweeping the Limelight Away (1974), Just the Silence Remains to be (1975), Boulevard (1976), Hard Rock and roll Town (1977), Most significant Strikes (1978), Whispering Rainfall (1979), Right into a Secret (1980), Storm Caution (1981), Home windows (1982), Timberline (1983), Heroes (1984) and Midnight Break (1985). McLauchlan turned to Capitol for 1988’s Swinging on the Celebrity and 1991’s THE PRESENT DAY Age.
