Formed this year 2010, Muncie Girls’ members Lande Hekt (vocals, bass), Dean McMullen (guitar), and Luke Ellis (drums) have been friends and regulars of the neighborhood D.I.Con. punk scene within their hometown of Exeter, U.K. Fueled by their very own angst and discontent using the globe, the trio go about carrying out and documenting, originally playing regional support displays with famous brands Caves and Great Cynics. The band’s 1st release came by the end of 2011 in the form of a three monitor self-titled cassette on MIGHT KNOW ABOUT Be Doing! Time for the studio at the start of 2012, the trio go about documenting their second EP, Trend Summer time. Released on regional Exeter-based punk label Specialist Subject matter, the EP helped propel the band’s profile, with airplay on BBC Radio 1’s punk display learning to be a regular point. Continuous touring through the entire U.K. and European countries found the trio’s result slow, with just the Sleepless E.P. released in 2013. A break up solitary with Great Cynics made an appearance early another year, adopted in 2015 by another break up single, this time around with German punk clothing Sandlotkids. With Hekt splitting her time taken between various rings and starting College of Frock — a musical workshop motivating girls to start out bands and perform devices — the group finally came back to the studio room at the start of 2015 to record what would become their debut recording. Released a 12 months later on in March 2016, the greater politically slanted From Caplan to Belsize made an appearance.
