Mulgrew Miller

A fantastic pianist who played in a method influenced by McCoy Tyner, Mulgrew Miller was quite consistent throughout his profession. He was with Mercer Ellington’s big music group in the past due ’70s and got essential stints with Betty Carter (1980), Woody Shaw (1981-1983), and Artwork Blakey’s Jazz Messengers (1983-1986). For an extended period, he was an associate from the Tony Williams Quintet (1986-1994). Furthermore, Miller led his personal classes for Landmark (beginning in 1985) and Novus. Unfortunately, Mulgrew Miller passed away of a heart stroke in Allentown, Pa on, may 29, 2013; he was 57 yrs . old.
